Who’s Who: Allegiance Cast

 EYMARD CABLING*(Ensemble) makes his SpeakEasy Stage debut with this production.  Eymard just played Frankie Suzuki in the Los Angeles production of Allegiance, and is truly honored to be a part of this family and to tell this crucial story.  He has also starred in Miss Saigon (The Engineer) in North America, and in the International Tour of The King and I in Asia.  Other credits include The King and I, Once on This Island  (Olney Theatre Center); and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Mary Poppins, Starlight Express, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Shrek, Newsies, and Mamma Mia (Tuacahn Center for the Arts, Utah). He received his BFA from Carnegie Mellon University.

PAIGE CLARK* (Mrs. Tanaka/Ensemble) is happy to be making her SpeakEasy debut! In the Boston area, she has appeared in productions by Actors’ Shakespeare Project, Central Square Theater, and New Repertory Theatre. In addition to acting, Paige also teaches and directs theatre in Newton, and performs with her band Poor Yorick. Thanks to her amazing husband Dave for all his unconditional love and support!

RON DOMINGO* (Tatsuo Kimura) is an Obie Award- winning actor who has performed for stage, film, & television. A veteran stage actor, he has worked with many respected theater companies including Manhattan Theatre Club, Long Wharf Theatre, and the Tricycle Theatre in London. Mr. Domingo’s TV credits include roles on The Mysteries of Laura (NBC); Blue Bloods (CBS); Person of Interest (CBS); Pan Am (NBC); Rescue Me (CBS); and Law & Order SVU, CI & Trial By Jury (NBC). Film credits include Tenderness, Robot Stories, The Motel, and the lead role in Slow Jam King. Ron is a proud member of Actors’ Equity and SAG-AFTRA.

MELISSA GEERLOF (Hannah) is pleased to be making her SpeakEasy debut! Melissa is a recent graduate of The Boston Conservatory with a BFA in Musical Theater. Her credits include The Donkey Show (Helen); Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (Ensemble); Country Roads (Dance Captain); and Searching for Signal (Margot). MICHAEL HISAMOTO* (Mike Masaoka). SpeakEasy: debut! Recent acting credits include Stage Kiss, Fast Company, Hold These Truths, Virginia Woolf’s Orlando (Lyric Stage); Charlotte’s Web (Wheelock Family Theatre); Yellow Face (Office of War Information); and The Ordinary Epic (Close to Home Productions). Michael has developed new plays for such companies as the Huntington, Williamstown Theatre Festival, SpeakEasy Stage, HowlRound, Fresh Ink Theatre, and more. In addition to his acting work, Michael was a playwriting resident at the Kennedy Center, and has directed or assisted on numerous productions across Boston.  ELAINE HOM (Ensemble) is thrilled to make her SpeakEasy debut! Recent roles include Rosie in Bye Bye Birdie, Marcy Park in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Mayzie in Seussical, Callie in Stop Kiss, and Hope in Infinite Ache. By day, Elaine manages the marketing for the theater streaming service BroadwayHD, and also teaches jazz and musical theatre dance at Sereda DanceWorks in Natick. RYAN MARDESICH (Ensemble) is making his SpeakEasy debut. Local: A Christmas Carol (North Shore Music Theatre); Fiddler on the Roof (New Rep; dir Austin Pendleton). Regional: The Fantasticks (Sierra Repertory Theatre, Los Altos Stage); Spamalot (Barnstormers Theatre, City Lights Theatre); The Lieutenant of Inishmore (Palo Alto Players); Spring Awakening (Foothill Music Theatre); Evita, Guys & Dolls, Oliver (Broadway By the Bay). Ryan holds an MFA in Musical Theatre from The Boston Conservatory, and a BA in both Acting and Music from Santa Clara University.

 GARY THOMAS NG* (Sam Kimura/Ojii-San) is thrilled to make his SpeakEasy debut. He recently appeared in Hold These Truths (Lyric Stage) and in Beauty and the Beast (Wheelock). Other favorite credits include Miss Saigon (Ogunquit and Foothills); Children of Eden (North Shore Music Theatre); Sideshow (Lyric Stage); Billy Elliot (Wheelock); and the Far East tour of Cole Porter’s Aladdin. Gary is also a photographer whose works include production photos for Ogunquit Playhouse, Gloucester Stage, and the Wheelock Family Theatre.

BEN OEHLKERS (Ensemble) is thrilled to be making his SpeakEasy debut in this production. Previous favorite roles include Henry (Next to Normal), Marius (Les Misérables), Adam (Children of Eden), and Zangara (Assassins). Ben frequently works as a music director for local community and children’s theaters. He holds a BA from Brandeis University and an MA in Music Education from Boston University, and currently works as a software engineer in Watertown. ISAAC PHAMAN REYNOLDS (Ensemble, u/s Sammy) is honored to be making his SpeakEasy debut in the East Coast regional premiere production of Allegiance. He is a junior at the Boston Conservatory at Berklee and is a proud Oklahoman. Regional credits include The Music Man and Beauty and the Beast (Theater by the Sea) and The King and I and The Little Mermaid (Lyric Theater OKC).  He would like to thank his family and friends for being so incredibly supportive throughout his life.

SAM TANABE*(Sammy) is excited to make his SpeakEasy debut in Allegiance! He was previously in Boston last spring performing in Finish Line: A Documentary Play about the 2013 Boston Marathon presented by Boston Theater Company in association with the Boch Center. New York credits include Broadway:  Allegiance (Swing, u/s Sammy); Off-Broadway: Red Eye of Love;  and Hello Dolly! (Barnaby) with the National Asian Artists Project. Sam has also performed at the Goodspeed Opera House, Sacramento Music Circus, Dallas Summer Musicals, and the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina. TYLER SIMAHK*(Frankie Suzuki) is making his SpeakEasy Stage debut. Tyler recently toured internationally through Asia with a production of Sister Act. Regional credits include Sister Act (Ogunquit Playhouse/Gateway Playhouse); Fast Company, Peter and the Starcatcher, and Company (Lyric Stage); and La Cage Aux Folles (Reagle Music Theatre).

RACHEL WIRTZ (u/s Hannah) is overjoyed to make her SpeakEasy debut in such a beautiful show. She just finished her junior year studying Musical Theater at The Boston Conservatory at Berklee where she performed in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels under the incredible team of Laura Marie Duncan and Larry Sousa. Last summer, she worked at Interlakes Summer Theatre where she played various roles, including The Narrator in  Joseph…Dreamcoat. Other favorite roles include Morticia in The Addams Family, Eponine in Les Miz, and Persephone in Polaroid Stories. Her heart and gratitude go out to every constant light of encouragement in her life.

MICHELINE WU (Ensemble) is thrilled to make her SpeakEasy debut! A Boston native, she comes to musical theater after several years performing and choreographing contemporary dance. Theater: My Fair Lady (New Bedford Festival Theatre); Little Shop of Horrors (Priscilla Beach Theatre); Diamond Alice by Ben Steinfeld & Alexander Gemigniani (The Boston Conservatory).  Film: Willow Sparks (Lead) in Weeping Willow Speaks (screened at the Brooklyn Academy of Music, Brooklyn College Film Festival). Training: MFA Musical Theater, The Boston Conservatory at Berklee. Many thanks to her mother, brother, family, and the faculty at BoCo for their support!

KENDYL YOKOYAMA  (Ensemble/Assistant Choreographer/Dance Captain) is thrilled to make her SpeakEasy debut! Kendyl is the inaugural Presidential Scholar at The Boston Conservatory at Berklee in Musical Theater, recently performed at the 90th Oscars with Keala Settl, and also performed in an Allegiance concert with George Takei! Favorite roles include: “Belle” (Beauty and the Beast), “Jasmine” (Aladdin), “Little Girl” (But the Giraffe!/Brundibar), plua roles in Mary Poppins, Oklahoma!, Sister Act, Children of Eden, and Evita. Kendyl would like to thank God for his blessings, Anthony Boyer (DDO), Vanessa Townsell, Maggie Danielsen, SpeakEasy, and her family for all their support.

GRACE YOO*(Kei Kimura) is thrilled to be making her SpeakEasy debut! She was most recently seen in the LA premiere of Allegiance as ‘Nan Goto.’ Some of her other favorite roles include ‘Minnie Fay’ in Hello Dolly and ‘Jacqueline’ in La Cage Aux Folles. She would like to thank her family, friends, and AK Management for their unwavering support. You have brought me to this moment. Special shout out to Randy Guiaya and Louie Avila for bringing me ‘higher.’ And to Alex Sanchez, “let’s take what chance the future brings — and soar!”
