Join us for an insider’s look at what’s on the horizon for musical theatre! Curated in partnership with Somerled Arts, Bound for Boston features five exciting writing teams currently working on new shows. Hear from the writers about their musicals and their writing processes and then get a sneak peek at performances from the new works. Broadway legend Liz Callaway will emcee the evening.

Guests will also enjoy a reception with complimentary bites following the show.

Public Response – MONDAY, NOVEMBER 2, 2026

Sometimes it feels like we’re just screaming into the abyss. After years of voting, protesting, and trying to make our voices heard, sometimes you wonder – is anyone listening? Well, SpeakEasy is. This voting season, we’re going to give you an outlet – not only to get your frustrations, pleas, thoughts, and feelings about the world out onto paper, but to hear them performed by some of your favorite Boston artists.

Join us on Monday, November 2nd for a very special event – our “Public Response”. We will gather as a community, write letters to political figures (or whoever you want!), and then have some of our biggest personalities dramatize them for the group – right then and there. Blow off some steam, get it off your chest, and finally feel heard and appreciated – all while surrounded by friends and laughter.

Bring your favorite writing implements, a laptop, or pen and paper (best penmanship please) and let’s get some things off our chests!
