SpeakEasy hosts a variety of special events — both on and off the stage.  From entertaining galas to director’s events, these theatrical affairs celebrate our season’s successes with donors, subscribers, artists and other supporters. All the events raise funds that directly support our mission of bringing premiere theatre to Boston and sparking thoughtful conversation long after the curtain falls. Past events have included our annual Spring Gala, prohibition-themed cabarets, Producer’s Dinners and more.

Spring Gala 2025

On Thursday, April 10, 2025, SpeakEasy friends and supporters gathered at the Royal Sonesta in Cambridge for an extraordinary evening to honor our Founder & Artistic Director, Paul Daigneault!

Together, we celebrated the past, present, and future of SpeakEasy Stage in what was an unforgettable event. Guests had the opportunity to enjoy a lively cocktail hour; see exclusive performances by acclaimed artists and tributes from those whose lives and careers have been shaped by Paul’s extraordinary legacy; and bid in our auction throughout the evening, with all proceeds benefiting SpeakEasy’s 24-25 Season.

Producer’s Dinner

SpeakEasy hosts a yearly gathering for the producers of our Season! Invitation to this event is a benefit of joining our Producer’s Circle.

Producer’s Dinners have served as a way for us to bring some of SpeakEasy’s supporters together and give them an inside look into the art they love so much! This event includes dinner and opportunities to meet and mingle with artists and members of the creative teams from our season, SpeakEasy leadership, and fellow donors. Join us as we celebrate your role in our season!

Season Celebration

Celebrate the kick-off of SpeakEasy’s incredible seasons at our Season Celebration party! Formerly know as our Season Wrap Party, our Season Celebration party will launch us into our 35th Season. This casual gathering is the perfect event to celebrate another year of incredible programming and bold theatre, meet the SpeakEasy Staff, meet the SpeakEasy artists, designers, and technicians, and other friends of SpeakEasy! Invitation to our Season Celebration is a benefit of being a SpeakEasy Subscriber or Patron in our Friend’s Circle.
