Wick Simmons (Onstage Cello) Broadway Tour: The Band’s Visit. Simmons has also performed at Joe’s Pub at The Public Theater, The Kennedy Center, The Dolby, MASS MoCA, Carnegie Hall, and on NPR. Dubbed “the modern cellist” (CelloSherpa), Wick Simmons engages in the culturally intersecting worlds of creative-technology, dance, film, theatre, sound art, traditional and post-genre music. He is a solo artist on GRAMMY Award winning vocalist Zachary James’ album “Song of Myself.” Upcoming engagements include opening a sound-art installation in an East Berlin wartime bunker and tours across the USA with TAKE3 trio. He has held residencies at The Hambidge Center, The Banff Centre, and has performed in the Bang on a Can Summer Festival Marathon, The Silkroad Ensemble’s Global Musicians Workshop, and Pinchas Zukerman’s Young Artists Programme. @wicksimmons
