CRYSTIN GILMORE* (Margaret) returns to SpeakEasy having previously appeared as Shug Avery in The Color Purple (a role for which she won an IRNE Award & Arts Impulse Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Musical), and as Headmistress Frances in School Girls; Or, The African Mean Girls Play (for which she shared a 2020 Elliot Norton Award Best Ensemble nomination). Other credits include: Camae in The Mountaintop (Footlight Players); Violet in 9 to 5 – The Musical (Majestic Theatre); and Alberta Pearl Johnson in Black Pearl Sings! (Charleston Stage Company) to name a few.
