Catia

Catia

CATIA (Chris) is ecstatic to be making her SpeakEasy debut! Acting credits include Camae in The Mountaintop (Santa Fe Playhouse); Rosaura in Sueño (Trinity Rep); Amina in Dance Nation (Willbury Theatre Group); plus Elinor in Sense & Sensibility, Jackie Blount in Junk, Celimene The School for Lies, and Eurydice in Polaroid Stories (Burbage Theatre Company). She is also a director, playwright and costume designer.  Catia obtained her BFA in Theatre from the University of Rhode Island, and is a resident artist at the Burbage Theatre Company and Rhode Island Latino Arts. She is very proud of her Dominican roots and her Afro-Latinidad, and wants all the Black and Hispanic girls watching to know que, “SI SE PUEDE, COÑO!” (she/ella)
